Retractable Technologies VanishPoint Syringes have a retractable needle. The needle is automatically retracted directly from the patient into the barrel of the syringe when the plunger handle is fully depressed.  The pre-removal, automated retraction reduces exposure to the contaminated needle and therefore reduces the risk of needlestick injuries. 

These syringes can be activated single-handedly. They are easy to use and require no additional steps. 

After the syringe is used, it requires less disposal space than most other safety needles/syringes.
