A must have for any Rescue Team

5 5.0 out of 5 stars. May 17, 2015

I had the unfortunate experience to wash out around a corner while mountain biking and snap my femur in half at the neck. (Femural neck, where the femur attaches to the hip socket) I couldn't get up and knew after a couple of minutes that I was going to have to be extracted from the desert by EMT/Fire.

The awesome crews from Rural Metro, Mesa Fire and Apache Junction Fire Department stabilized me and got the big wheel in to roll me out approximately 3/4 mile. The guys unfolded the Megamover and comfortably got it underneath me and were able to lift me with very little pain or movement to the fractured hip area. They were able to lift me (6'3" 225lbs) and get me in the big wheel to roll me to the ambulance. After the long roll to the ambulance the guys were once again able to lift and transfer me to the gurney for the ambulance. The guys handled me with care and it was very comfortable. I highly recommend this product.
