It is our intention to simplify the purchasing process as much as possible. By following the terms set forth, you can be assured of fast, dependable service.

Ordering Terms


It is EMP’s policy to ship orders the day they are received, provided the order is placed by 2:00 p.m. CST Monday through Friday. Orders not placed during this time will be shipped the next business day.

EMP stocks most products in our warehouse, however backorders occasionally happen due to high customer demand, availability from manufacturers, and other manufacturing delays. EMP is not liable for losses you incur due to delayed or backordered items.

Please note that EMP makes every effort to keep you informed of backorders, including offering alternative items that may be acceptable substitutes.  Substitute items will only be shipped with your permission.

EMP will only make a price change if a significant increase from the manufacturer forces us to do so. All pricing and product information in the EMP catalog will always represent the most current pricing information and supersedes all previous catalogs.  The EMP website will always represent the most current pricing information and supersedes all previous catalogs. In the rare event a price increase occurs on an item that is temporarily out of stock, EMP will honor the price the order was placed at.


EMP pays all regular ground shipping charges on orders over $175.00.  Exceptions to this policy would include all orders with special shipping requests (i.e. Next Day Air, etc.), orders for dealers/resellers, orders under $175.00 and all orders outside the contiguous United States. In these situations, shipping charges will be prepaid by EMP and added to your invoice. All orders are shipped ground except for certain larger orders, ambulance cots, etc. which ship via a commercial trucking service.

In addition, there is a $10.50 Narcotic Handling Fee on all narcotic orders.  Also, there is a $13.95 Refrigeration Handling Fee on all refrigerated medication shipments due to special requirements.

Promotion Codes

Only one promo code can be used per order. Promotions codes may not be applicable to certain products including, but not limited to, medications and narcotics, 5.11 Tactical®, Ambu® aScope™, Ambu® aView™, Defibtech Lifeline ARM, Guardian Angel, IntuBrite™, recertified defibrillators, recertified autovents, recertified infusion pumps, and select manikins.  Promotion codes do not apply to contract and dealer customers.  Other restrictions may apply.

Terms of Sale

All non-municipal funded agencies must provide a tax exempt certificate. Privately owned companies may submit credit references for open account billing. EMP's open account terms are Net 30 Days. Due to our competitive pricing open account terms are strictly adhered to. EMP reserves the right to turn over delinquent accounts for collection when necessary.

Special Terms and Conditions

Orders from individuals must be prepaid by a money order or certified check unless charged to AMERICAN EXPRESS, MASTERCARD, OR VISA. There is a $30.00 charge for all returned checks.

EMP reserves the right to not sell products based upon agreement with manufacturer.


EMP carefully inspects and electronically weighs all orders prior to shipping. In the rare event your shipment was damaged in transit or is incorrect please contact us within five working days for prompt rectification.

Please note: commercial truck shipments must be thoroughly inspected for damage and correctness prior to signing for the shipment. Once the shipment has been signed for you cannot file a claim.

Product Expiration

EMP strives to offer product with the longest expiration dating from manufacture. There are times where we receive product with less than 12 month dating. Our minimum expiration is 6 month dating to ship out to customers without notification. If you have specific questions regarding expiration please contact our Customer Service Department prior to ordering.
