InhalerMate is a patented, durable, colorful carrying case for Metered Dose Inhalers (MDI). An important feature of InhalerMate is an integrated easy to read LED dose counter. The dose counter allows the patient or caregiver to track the number of doses dispensed. This helps ensure compliance and assists the patient and caregiver to track dispensed doses to ensure that their inhalers are not empty during an asthma attack.
The counter can be reset by the pharmacist or patient at each refill. The LED dose counter uses a common button cell battery. The battery life under normal use is between 3 to 4 years and the battery can be easily changed. The sturdy impact and water resistant case snaps tight to protect inhalers from moisture, dust, dirt and damage, yet it is easy to open and close. The case has internal foam inserts on both the lid and bottom to protect the inhaler. A strong integrated ring on the lid allows the InhalerMate to be clipped to purses, gym or equipment bags, backpacks or belt loops.
