The new FASPLINT Full Body vacuum splint provides the fast, effective and comfortable full-body immobilization of a vacuum mattress at a budget-friendly price.
Using portable suction or one of Hartwell Medical’s durable vacuum pumps, it molds to the exact shape of each patient’s body to support and immobilize without applying pressure.
Used in conjunction with a CombiCarrier II, a scoop, or a backboard, it significantly reduces or eliminates the pressure point tenderness commonly seen in patients secured to a hard, flat backboard and prevents this additional, unnecessary paint for the patient.
Although it is designed to immobilize the entire body, the Full Body has a tapered design that allows it to fold up into a smaller size than other vacuum mattresses for easier storage.
And, just as with Hartwell Medical’s popular FASPLINT extremity splints, if the FASPLINT Full Body is lost, flies away on a helicopter, or is too soiled to be used again, the replacement cost is, minimal, making it the most cost-effective way to treat patients without sacrificing the best in care.
