CELOX™-D uses the same chitosan based agent as traditional CELOX but its delivery system is what makes it unique and highly effective. The agent is contained in a dissolvable bag that is placed in the wound and begins to break down after making contact with blood. As the bag breaks down the agent is released into the wound.
