Thunderbolt® Storm Detector Description:
ThunderBolt® Storm Detector detects and tracks storm activity within 75 miles of the unit’s location. The hand-held ThunderBolt® detects in real time, displaying the storm’s distance, approach speed, and Estimated Time of Arrival [ETA]. ThunderBolt® is also able to detect dangerous squall lines and multiple storm cells.
ThunderBolt®, operating independently of any outside weather information source, continuously updates the storm’s progression. Once a storm is within 8 miles, ThunderBolt® will indicate “Storm is Local” [the distance in which deadly lightning can strike, but often before lightning can be seen or thunder heard]. ThunderBolt® then provides estimated “Time to Clear” [when it is safe to resume activities]. Includes case and instructions.
