Lidocaine Hydrochloride Oral Topical Solution, USP 2% (Viscous) contains a local anesthetic agent and is administered topically. Lidocaine stabilizes the neuronal membrane by inhibiting the ionic fluxes required for the initiation and conduction of impulses, thereby effecting local anesthetic action.
